A favorite Mother's Day memory: my oldest daughter was a toddler, just old enough to understand that Mother's Day was supposed to be special for Mommy. For whatever reason she was over-tired, grumpy, and very upset because I wasn't having a particularly pleasant day. She sat on her bed and howled, "But I want you to have a happy Mother's Day!"
What else was there to do but laugh?
